
Norma Bazan is the conservative choice for the 231st District Court. With over 25 years of experience, she has the knowledge and the temperament Tarrant County needs for a Family Court Judge.


About Norma
Norma Bazan has over 25 years of experience in the legal profession. Board certified in family law, she has dedicated her career to assisting those who need protection in the legal system. She currently works in the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office Protective Orders Division where she represents victims of sexual assault, family and dating violence, and stalking. Her community involvement includes providing legal services for SafeHaven of Tarrant County and Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.
Respected by her colleagues in the legal community, Norma is a Past President of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association. She is a frequent author and co-author of articles for the State Bar of Texas. She also lends her expertise as a speaker to organizations such as the State Bar of Texas, Tarrant County Family Law Bar, Legal Aid, and Texas A&M Law School. She is also admitted as Attorney and Counsellor of the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to earning her law degree, Norma spent nine years serving as the Court Coordinator for the 231st District Court. She knows the needs of this court and will be able to hit the ground running on Day 1.
Norma is a native of Fort Worth. She and her husband, George, have been married for more than 47 years. They have three children and six grandchildren.
